Here’s something our class wrote from the poem “I am just a boy” from a young boy. The poem is truly a heart breaker and we made our own versions of it. So here it is-
I am just a boy…
I am just a boy who wants bullying to stop because no one deserves to be bullied
I am just a boy who thinks people getting hurt is horrible and not right
I am just a boy who hopes for people to not be judged for there differences
I am just a boy who wishes for a day people will not be teased for being different
I am just a boy who doesn’t want people to get hurt
I am just a boy who won’t ever be rude to people because their different
I am just a boy who hasn’t let people be hurt
I am just a boy who will not let people get picked on or hurt
I am just a boy who can’t be hurt because I will take a stand
I am just a boy who is against bullying
I am just a boy.
If you enjoyed this poem then leave below one of your own or what you think about this poem or the original one.

Our class was so lucky to get to go to We Day. It was the most inspirational field trip I’ve ever been on and probably always will! Everything there was awesome and the arena was HUGE! I had so much fun I would love it if I could go again! We heard some very good speeches at We Day, but the best part would be the bands there! They rocked the show! But We Day isn’t about rocking, Its about changing the world or as Ghandi said- “Be the change you wish to see in the world”. Al I can say is We Day is the best field trip ever. We Day is part of many events to such as the Vow Of Silence. They are changing the world, and you could be part of it!
If you haven’t heard of We Day be sure to check it out!

Yes another avatar I have! Last year I had a rather different one but whatever lets get creative! I’m not into making avatars but I guess you can make anything fun! The way I try to get myself interested is by making the most ridiculous characters, and then saving them! And the great thing is that if you ever get bored you can just make a new one just like that! Whats your avatar and where did you make him?

Whats your favourite season? Mine has always been summer for many reasons, but I would say the top reasons for it are because there’s no school and you can always stay up late! Winter would have to be my second favourite because of the snow but then I think Winters cold and I’d rather be warm than cold also there school during Winter so that’s too bad. Another great thing about Summer is you can go outside all the time so it feels like a weekend… Everyday! Whats your favourite season, and why?

Well the snow is leaving now, It was fun having you! It was a really short winter here in Vancouver! I love the snow but this year there was barely any so I couldn’t even jump in it! It would be just awesome if it snowed again but then on second thought I would be freezing! I like Summer more than Winter so I’d rather it be Summer. One of my favourite parts is… NO SCHOOL! Whats your favourite Season? And would you rather it snow again, or is it still snowing right now?

Ever heard your teacher talk about Mesopotamia in class and wondering what it was or where it was? Well Mesopotamia is a lot more interesting as you think. It was the birth place of the New Year. The earliest record of a New Years celebration dated back in Mesopotamia, c. 2000B.C. and was celebrated around the time of vernal equinox. The vernal equinox is when the Sun will cross directly over the Earths equator. Vernal equinox is on March 20 (Some calenders 21) and means equal light. New years was a time to plant crops and first seedlings. Sumerians had 12 months in there year just like us. They all originated around farming. through out March to November and February they didn’t grow or harvest any crops or were involved in any trading. But when January came it was all harvesting and growing crops till July. Mesopotamia used New Years as a way to know when to plant there crops as if the year had re-set. The Sumerians were very scarce of there food so you would not see them ever slaughtering there animals unless a festival would be happening but if they ever had too much food they would trade it with others. The Sumerians would follow the river until they found other surviving cultures. The reason the Sumerians stayed in Mesopotamia was because of the farm land. It was the best you could get because it was so rich and it was were the two rivers meet. Even Mesopotamia means “where the two rivers meet”. The Sumerians were the start of farming and the first tribe to stay in one place instead of following the animals because they figured out ways to keep them to stay and continue there life there. Mesopotamia was located in between the Tigris and the Euphrates Rivers where modern-day Iraq is.
